Our group 'Chapter 7' has read a text called "War In Waihi" which was written by Mark Derby.

My Reading Group Goals for Term 2

After sitting our e-asTTle test this term we analysed our groups pathways which helped us identify our group reading goals for this term. Here are my reading goals:

• WALT locate specific information by using the skills of find, select and retrieve. 

• WALT I identify word classes to help us understand the meaning of unknown words.

• WALT think about the way the text is written (structure) to help us summarise the story in order using grammatically correct language and sentence structure. 

• WALT use inferencing skills at a level 5 standard.
